About Kristina



Kristina is the Founder and Principal consultant of KD Coaching & Consulting. As a creative curator of cultural change she helps both parents and agencies who work with families  to develop parents leadership skills and increase agencies capacity to authentically engage and build connection with the families and peer to peer. Through  a variety of coaching, workshops,  trainings, consulting Kristina is able to tailor her services to meet the specific needs of her client. 

She has experience as a Communication Skills Trainer with Our Community Listens and is excited to become certified in cultural intelligence from the Cultural Intelligence Center in September 2019. 

Kristina has a rich background in parent leadership and family advocacy. She serves her community to help build and foster authentic, meaningful relationships. She leads creatively among diverse groups with a culturally inclusive approach to improve outcomes for leadership, stakeholders, and the families with a unique ability to connect at each level.

In 2018 Kristina was re-appointed by Governor Rick Synder for a second 4-year term  on the Michigan Inter-Agency Coordinating Council (MICC). She also currently serves as co-chair of Local Inter-Agency Coordinating Council in her county. A board of many years for First Steps Kent & Comprehensive Therapy Center. Kristina helped create the current position & served as the first parent mentor for the State of Michigan. She was an integral part of creating and implementing  a successful & nationally recognized model around Parent Leadership.

As a survivor of her own adverse childhood experiences combined with lived experience provides her a vantage point to connect with people from all walks of life in an authentic and powerful way.
